Product Description
With swinging three part vocal harmonies and superbly melodic baritone sax, Leo Dale joins forces with Doug de Vries on guitar and Anita Hustas on Double Bass to sing about how cool it is in the SHADE. The Sound track to this video is available from iTunes with vastly improved sound quality
In Australia, the beach rules. While I love the surf, and the sand does wonders for my feet, I find the beach relaxes my mind but it doesn’t exercise it. With pale skin and brown hair I was often asked as a teenager why I didn’t have brown skin and pale hair. I was a fish out of water until I discovered Jazz and realised that the night rules.
Come into the SHADE . . .
This track was recorded by Leo at his studio in West Footscray. Firstly he recorded Doug and Anita playing the backing track together. Next he added the 3 part vocal harmonies. Lastly, he sang the solo, transcribed his vocal improvisation and learned to play it on baritone sax. The transcription is featured in the Youtube video at the point where bikini girl puts on the little black dress and is being hypnotised by THE POWER OF JAZZ.
